DIFFERENT TYPES OF WELDING AND THEIR ALLIED PROCESSES
Table of Contents
Dear Folks! In this article, let’s see all about different types of welding and their allied processes.
WHAT IS WELDING?
Welding is a process of joining two or more pieces of the same or similar materials to achieve complete coalescence. This is usually attained by the use of heat and or pressure.
WIDE APPLICATION OF WELDING ACROSS VARIOUS INDUSTRIES
Welding is used extensively for the fabrication of various components including critical structures like boilers, pressure vessels, ships, off-shore, heavy structures, bridges, pipelines, railways, missiles and rocket parts, unclear reactors, automobile bodies and parts, earth moving equipment, and many more.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF WELDING AND ITS ALLIED PROCESSES
Almost all materials can be welded but not by the same process. Depends upon the type of material, the nature of the heat source and its movement, different type of welding and its allied processes have been developed over time.
